Today, we decided to change our storyboard and start again as we did not feel that our first storyboard was not suitable in terms of it not being annotated as much as we should have, so today we decided to start on a different storyboard. The above picture is a part of the new storyboard. Next lesson, we are hoping to carry on with making our storyboard.
Today me and my group decided to start on our storyboard. We tried to make it as detailed as possible. We included the shot types we will be using, editing, locations and what is actually going to happen in every scene. Next lesson, we are hoping to annotate the storyboard even more by including what type of costumes the actors will be wearing and so on.
Today, me and my group annotated the lyrics of our chosen track in detail, we wrote about the location, what's going to happen in every verse etc... We are hoping to start on our storyboard next lesson. Annotating the lyrics was very helpful as it allowed us to plan in detail rather than just having a brief idea. Taking into consideration the audience feedback, me and my group decided to update our treatment, we improved it by planning in detail and this is shown in the prezi as we included much more detail this time round and also took on the idea of the couple being in a scene while the lip syncher, lip synchs.
This is a video of me and my group presenting our pitch to the whole class and also includes audience feedback in it. We got asked several questions on our pitch, we tried our best to answer them to a suitable standard. The audience liked the track which was crucial as if the audience did not like the track, there would be problems as no one would want to watch our track so this was a good advantage. I feel that we lacked in planning and this was a huge disadvantage as we could not get our ideas across sufficiently like we wanted and this caused confusion for the audience, to improve/ compensate for this, me and my group will be making another treatment in which it will address all the confusion in this video and also be in detail to ensure that our planning is up to scratch. Also, we will have another female actor involved, which is what was raised in this video, we still haven't picked an extra female actor but we are in the process of doing so. I liked the idea that was suggested, the idea of the couple being in the distance while the lip syncher is lip synching so the audience gets a view of the whole situation in one place, this is something we will definitely think about taking on board. We definitely need to develop our whole concept and this will be done so in our new treatment. Overall, I would say that the audience feedback was helpful as it will help in improving our music video. Audience feedback is vital as it helps with knowing the opinions of others and making sure you meet their requirements as an audience.
Today, me and my group presented our pitch to the whole class, we got audience feedback from them in which they gave us advice on how to improve our ideas. The video will be uploaded later on in the week where I'll be evaluating the video pitch.
I emailed the record label, Interscope asking for permission to use the song, Jealous Type by Bahja Rodriguez (signed by Interscope) to use for our media coursework. I searched the internet for the email (attached above). Unfortunately, I did not receive a reply so I went ahead.
Today, me and my group were discussing what we are going to do for our music track, in terms of who are the actors, what is the narrative etc... We made a Prezi illustrating our ideas briefly to pitch to the class in detail on Thursday.
Today me and my group were discussing and looking for a music track for our media coursework. We came across two in which we all agreed with-Bahja Rodriguez jealous type and Bahja Rodriguez next one. After taking everything into consideration. We all went for Bahja Rodriguez-Jealous type. After, this stage we looked up the lyrics and started to get initial ideas of a few of the verses for example using a car for a few of the verses.
The above picture is off me and my group looking over what we had filmed. The bottom picture is off our lip syncher. We decided to film in the field as there was a lot of greenery and there was a lot of space to move around in. The greenery also related to the lyrics as it represents freedom and isolation. The song we decided to use is "Let it go". We used the DSLR cameras to film our music video.
